WHO IS IT FOR? Existing or aspiring Pilates Instructors and movement professionals looking for a globally recognised, science-led certification.
WHEN? The next Mat Teacher Training is starting March 2026, (100-hour course) and Reformer Teacher Training begins January 2026 (160-hour course).
WHERE? At The Pilates Barre boutique studio in Fermoy, (30km from Cork City) powered by the internationally respected Pilates Education Institute (PEI) curriculum, recognised by the PMA. Instruction is led by Sandra Scannell, with over 18,000 hours of teaching experience and a background in neuromuscular therapy.
Mat Pilates Instructor Certification
Requires 100 hours – covering online theory, quizzes, practical exams, and student teaching components
Learn over 100 classical and contemporary mat exercises
Deep dive into anatomy, movement mechanics & cueing
Injury prevention & rehabilitation foundations
Learn Precautions and contraindications.
Training on “how” to teach a class.
Includes access to PEI's online platform, manuals & assessments
